About BJORN IOOSS
Bjorn Iooss was born and raised in New York, graduating with a BFA in Photography from the Rhode Island School of Design. He grew up in a home where analog image-making and art were central. His father is a celebrated sports photographer, and his mother is a painter. Focusing solely on portraiture early in his career, Bjorn’s photography eventually expanded into the fashion and beauty worlds via his work for fashion and entertainment publications. Despite Bjorn’s consciously paired-back approach to photography, his complex understanding of light and color has enabled him to create a diverse body of work, from studio to location, where the human element is always central.
